How do I improve the page I created to be accepted for submission?

edit

I have created a page Charlie Gray and it wasn't submitted for review successfully. I tried to follow guidelines and I'm not sure why it's not working. Can you explain please? DialaSharief (talk) 16:48, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please read WP:AMOUNT. You must establish that Gray is notable (WP:N) by our definition. Until you do that, Your article cannot be in Wikipedia and there is nothing you can do to change that. To help a reviewer evaluate notability, you might want to the two best sources that meet the requirements in WP:N that support the claim. -Arch dude (talk) 15:45, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
So in this case, do I just write one line that he was photographer for Bafta? I shared the link to bafta and I can remove the rest. Is that also not considered a notable source? DialaSharief (talk) 17:37, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I was unclear. There is a distinction between "reliable source", and a source that helps establish notability. You can and should use all of your reliable sources, just as you did, but I do not think any of them help establish notability, even the bafta source, but please indicate here on the talk page the sources that you feel do establish reliability, because your reviewer may not agree with me. (I don't do reviews because I'm too lazy. The best I can do is hang out on the help desk.)-Arch dude (talk) 18:14, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your explanation. I just submitted the draft for review before reading your comment. I wish I read it before submitting. I deleted everything and only left the bafta part, since they had discussed the photographer's work for covering the event. I just don't understand how bafta doesn't follow the guidelines. If bafta is not a reliable source, then what is considered a reliable source! I'm very confused by wikipedia guidelines. You don't think they would accept my draft? To establish notability, you need several reliable independent published sources with in-depth discussion of the subject. The text of the Bafta source consists entirely of Gray's own words, and so is not independent. (And it's only one source.) Please read WP's page about notability.   Maproom (talk) 18:50, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

How do I get a faster submission result from editors?

edit

I've created a page and waiting for an answer whether it is accepted or not, how do I get a faster result? It says 5 weeks in order to find out. Please guide me to have a better result! Thanks. DialaSharief (talk) 03:54, 30 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

You've had it reviewed three times within two months. That seems reasonable fast, considering the current state of the backlog. If you want it reviewed and accepted, you'll need to find and cite some reliable independent sources that discuss Gray. Not interviews with him, not pieces by gallery owners trying to sell his work.
