A.J. Hansell is not included in List of American Civil War generals (Confederate). I asked at its Talk page and got helpful replies, in this thread. Bottom line: he was called General, but was not one; it has been stated he was part of the Confederate army, but was not. --Doncram (talk) 19:40, 7 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Doncram raised some of this above, and I removed others. @FloridaArmy you're a wiz at scholarly sources. Anything cross your radar on Hansell? I just restored so no G13 clock tickig, just decided to work on it. Star Mississippi 02:01, 3 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
