Zarehavan (Armenian: Զարեհավան), was the center of the Zarehavan canton and the Nor Shirakan (Parskahayk/Persarmenia) province of the Kingdom of Armenia. The city lied northwest of Lake Kaputan, in the valley of the Tarono river (now known as the Zola). The Zarehavan canton was bordered by Her to the north, Tamber to the south, Arna to the west, the cantons of Varazhnunik and Gazrikyan of Vaspurakan to the southwest, Gabityan of Vaspurakan to the east, and Lake Kaputan to the southeast.

The area of the canton roughly corresponds to the modern-day Salmas County in Iran. Other settlements of the Zarehavan canton were Saghamas[1] and Mghunis[2]. Zarehavan came under Persian rule with the first partition of Armenia in 387. In the 9th-11th centuries, it became part of the Artsruni dynasty.
