The Woo walk, also known as getting sturdy, is a dance move in which a person jumps in rhythm to a beat, mimicking walking.[1][2] Often, other moves are included, such as spinning and dropping.[1] The dance was created by New York rapper TDott Woo and is associated with the Brooklyn drill scene, specifically the song "Dior" by Pop Smoke.[3][4] The dance has been compared to voguing.[5][1]

The name of the dance originates from the creator of the dance, New York rapper TDott Woo.[6][7] The dance was popularized on social media after a video of TDott Woo performing the dance was uploaded to Instagram.[6] The dance was later heavily featured in the music video of Pop Smoke's "Dior", further popularizing the move.[8][9]

The dance became a trend on TikTok, with people performing the dance to songs such as "Dior", "Welcome to the Party", and "Get Back" by Pop Smoke, and remixes to songs such as "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga and "Bad Habit" by Steve Lacy.[1][8][10][11][12][13]
