Draft:Wonder Dynamics

  • Comment: Primary sources and routine business reporting (M&A, investment rounds, etc.) do not confer notability per WP:NCORP. That TechCrunch piece might be okay, but it alone isn't enough. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:01, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: I do not agree with your comments.
First of all there is a description of the processes at the company, to explain what is the technology about and how it works. There is nothing promotional there. Also, all the secondary sources are reliable news platforms, main magazines in the tech world and cinema writing about the company. Steven Spielberg is the main investor and advisor. History- cannot be more neutral. Technology- explanation of how it works, there is nothing promotional. Acquisition by Autodesk- is a fact, stating a fact about acquisition. Investors- just a list of names. Famous names is a promo? Impact- the impact it has on the industry. not sure what is wrong with that. you can remove it if you'd like. — Preceding unsigned comment added by J2009j (talkcontribs)

Wonder Dynamics is an American company based in Los Angeles, California that provides software for the visual effects (VFX) and computer graphics (CG) industry.[1][2][3][4]

History

edit

Wonder Dynamics was founded in 2017 by Nikola Todorovic, a VFX supervisor, and actor Tye Sheridan.[5]

In 2024 the company was acquired by Autodesk, a provider of 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software in the US.[6]

Technology

edit

The company's flagship product, Wonder Studio, uses artificial intelligence (AI) to automate labor-intensive processes involved in VFX creation, including character animation, lighting, and composition. Wonder Studio is designed to integrate with software such as Blender, Unreal Engine and Autodesk Maya.

Wonder Studio's AI technology tracks actors' performances from video footage and applies these performances to CG characters. This process aims to eliminate the need for traditional motion capture equipment.[7]

Investors

edit

Wonder Dynamics has received financial backing from Epic Games, Samsung Next, Horizon Ventures, Founders Fund, MaC Venture Capital, and directors Steven Spielberg and Joe and Anthony Russo.[8][9]
