Wapeach
Mario character
Created byFumihide Aoki

Wapeach, known as Warupeachi (Japanese: ワルピーチ) in Japan, is a fictional character from Nintendo's Mario franchise and was created by Fumihide Aoki, who he originally designed the character for Mario Power Tennis. On December 1, 2023, Aoki posted sketches of the character on Instagram.[1]

Creation and design edit

Wapeach was conceived in name only during the development of Mario Tennis for Nintendo 64. Camelot president Hiroyuki Takahashi addressed the concept of Wapeach and Wadaisy in an interview with Nintendo Power saying “[They] asked Nintendo about girlfriends for Wario and Luigi, but Shigeru Miyamoto said that he didn’t even want to see their girlfriends,” and assuming that Wapeach's design would look like Doronjo from Yatterman.[1][2][3]
