Wandile Sihlobo (born 16 October 1990) is a South African Author and Agricultural Economist.[1][2] He currently serves as the Chief Economist of the Agricultural Business Chamber of South Africa.[3][4][5]
Early life and career
editSihlobo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Fort Hare and a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Stellenbosch University.[6][7][8]
In 2019, he was selected as a member of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Presidential Economic Advisory Council, with a re-appointment in 2022.[9] Prior to this, Sihlobo served on the Presidential Expert Advisory Panel on Land Reform and Agriculture from 2018.[10]
Sihlobo also holds the position of Chairman of the Agribusiness Working Group of the BRICS Business Council (South Africa).[11][12]
