Victorio Manuel Sotto Generoso (Tagalog pronunciation: [ˈsɔtɔ]; Born on January 4, 1999), professionally known as Vito Sotto Generoso is a Filipino politician and professional athlete. serving his first term as a councilor of Quezon City from the 6th district since 2022. Beyond public service, Generoso also plays professional football for Maharlika Taguig F.C. of the Philippines Football League (PFL).[1].

Early Life

Victorio Manuel Sotto Generoso was Born on January 4, 1999 to Romina "Apples" Sotto [2]. Belonging to the Sotto family of Philippine entertainment and politics, He is a grandson of Former Senate President Tito Sotto and actress Helen Gamboa.

He graduated from De La Salle University in 2020, wherein he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences Major in Organizational and Social Systems Development.[3].

Political Career

During the 2022 elections[4], Generoso was elected to the Quezon City Council as a councilor for the 6th District under the Serbisyo sa Bayan Party (SBP) after garnering 73,646 votes within the district[5]. Since then, Generoso has passed several local ordinances and resolutions within the city council.

In 2023, Generoso launched the first grassroots football program in Quezon City, helping the future generation of athletes from the grassroots level to have access to other sports such as football [6].

Football Career

Generoso also plays professional football for Maharlika Taguig F.C. of the Philippines Football League (PFL), which is the premier Men's football league in the Philippines since 2024[7]
