Viola Sella (born 18 July 2006) is an Italian rhythmic gymnast. She was a member of the Junior Italian group that competed at the 2021 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships, in Varna, Bulgaria At the national level, she is the 2023 Italian National Championships all around, ball and ribbon bronze medalist. She is also a multi gold medalists at the Italian Junior national championships.

She took up rhythmic gymnastics at the SGM Forza e Coraggio 1870, coached by her mother Daniela Vergani.

Junior edit
In 2020, Sella debuted at the Irina Deleanu Cup in Romania, where she placed second in the team competition. In November 2020, she competed on the occasion of the bilateral between Italy and Germany held in Desio, where she placed first in the team competition. She was then selected to competed at the 2020 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships, in Kyiv, Ukraine, but team Italy decided to withdraw due to the pandemic. In April 2021, she competed at the Sofia Cup in Bulgaria alongside Alice Taglietti, she placed sixth in the all-around competition and won gold in the ribbon final the following day. At the end of April, she switched from being an individualist to a group athlete annd she started competing with the Junior Italian Group consists of Gaia Pozzi, Martina Lamberti, Alice Capozucco, Chiara Badii and Lorjen D'Ambrogio. They competed in a couple of occasions including the bilateral between Italy and Germany, Irina Deleanu Cup and their last competition which was the 2021 Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championships, in Varna, Bulgaria. The group placed 4th in the group all-around competition and 7th in both the 5 balls and 5 ribbons finals. Sella returned back to being an individualists after Europeans and won gold at the Junior Italian National Championships.
Senior edit
Sella made her senior debut at the bilateral between Italy and France. In April she competed at the 21st Irina Deleanu Cup, where she placed 3rd in the all-around, gold in clubs and silver in ball competition. In May, Sella competed 2022 Italian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, she was 10th in the all-around, and 6th with hoop and ball. In 2023, Sella started the new season at the Aphrodite Cup in Athens. Later, she competed at 2023 Italian Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships, where she was on the third step of the podium on three occasions: all-around, ball and ribbons finals with Sofia Raffaeli and Milena Baldassarri. She was then selected to competed in her fist world cup ih her home town Milan. At the World Cup Milan, she ended in 31st position.
