Vietnam vs Japan[1]

edit

Japan started off the tournament strong with a perfectly placed corner kick in which Takumi Minamino converted into a Japanese goal in the 11th minute giving Japan a 1-0 lead. Vietnam shockingly bounced back quickly with Nguyễn Đình Bắc scoring a reverse header in the 16th minute to tie the score 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Bùi Hoàng Việt Anh kicked the ball in which Zion Suzuki, the Japanese goalie, fumbled and allowed Phạm Tuấn Hải to score easily and give Vietnam a 2-1 lead. the joy for Vietnam wouldn't last long as Minamino scored again in the 45th minute to equalize 2-2. Just 5 minutes later, Japan would score again with a goal from Keito Nakamura. In the second half Vietnam couldn't get much offense going and Ueda went on to score for Japan in the 85th minute which would be the final goal in the game and Japan won 4-2.

Vietnam vs Indonesia

edit

Tensions were high as a spot for elimination was on the line for this game. Both Vietnam and Indonesia were struggling to get any goals for most of the first half. Although during the 40th minute Nguyễn Thanh Bình fouled Rafael Struick which gave Indonesia a penalty in which Asnawi Mangkualam converted into the top left of the goal which would be the only goal of the game.

Vietnam vs Iraq

edit

The game was relatively quiet until the 42nd minute when Bui Hoang Viet Anh, for Vietnam, scored a goal to put Vietnam in the lead 1-0. 4 minutes after the first 45 minutes in the first half, Khuat Van Khang, for Vietnam, got a red card. Iraq scored not long after with a header goal from a corner kick in the 47th minute from Rebin Sulaka tying the score 1-1. In the 73rd minute Iraq scored again with a header and this time from Aymen Hussein to give Iraq the lead 1-2. Hope seemed to be lost for Vietnam until Nguyen Quang Hai scored a minute after the 90th minute to tie the game again 2-2. It looked like the game was going to end in a tie until Aymen Hussein was awarded a penalty 12 minutes after the 90th minute in which he barely snuck past Filip Nguyen to give Iraq the lead and the win 2-3. The game would end less than 2 minutes after that penalty.
