Levente Vass (born October 12, 2007, in Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian racing driver.

Career

Early Years

Levente began his karting career in 2013 when his family first took him to a karting track. He frequently raced on tracks in Vác and at Budaring, where his interest in racing grew more serious.

Initially, he competed in club championships, gaining early racing experience. For a long time, karting remained a hobby for him, but by 2020 he started participating in competitive national championships such as the National Amateur Karting Championship and the Hobby Cart Cup, achieving good results^[1].

Successes and Challenges

In 2022, Levente competed in three CEE Rotax rounds but did not achieve any notable placements. During the summer, he participated in the rounds of the GTC regional championship, one of the country's most prestigious championships, held at the Black Star Speedway in Visonta. He won the first race starting from pole position and finished first in his category, second overall. In the second round, he finished third overall and first in his category. The final round of the championship was postponed and eventually canceled, but these results were enough for Levente to become the champion of the Visonta branch of the regional championship.

At the final organized in Sopron, a technical error caused Levente to crash into the wall from third place^[2], and he could only recover two positions from the last place. Later that year, he also raced at the Hungaroring, gaining further experience.

In 2023, he started the season under the Binhaus Racing banner at the Hungaroring, achieving good results in national championships. His father, János Vass, also participated as a guest racer in these races. In September 2023, he raced at the Driving Camp, where he was penalized and demoted in the field.

Formula 4

In 2024, Levente Vass is a reserve driver in the Formula 4 CEZ championship, sanctioned by the FIA. Throughout this year, he will travel to the championship races^[3] and tests, working with the teams to gain as much experience as possible for the following year, when he plans to compete in a full season. In November, he will participate in an academy organized by the championship and its promoter, focusing on physical and mental preparation, media and promotional tasks, team communication, technical knowledge, and driving a Formula 4 car over four days^[4].
