Uri Gordon (born August 30, 1976 in Israel) is an anarchist theorist and activist. He previously taught at Loughborough University[1] and the Arava Institute for Environmental Studies in Ketura, a Kibbutz north of Eilat.
Gordon's doctoral studies Oxford concerned anarchist politics, and formed the basis for his 2007 book Anarchy Alive!: Anti-Authoritarian Politics from Practice to Theory. He has been engaged in activism in the United Kingdom and Israel, connected to the wider anti-globalization movement. He has worked for organizations including Indymedia, Peoples' Global Action, and Anarchists Against the Wall. Gordon has also written for papers including Haaretz and the Jerusalem Post.
Uri Gordon advocates for a grassroots anarchism that is heterogeneous, bioregional, feminist, and action-oriented.
