An untitled Spaceballs sequel is an upcoming American space opera parody film directed by Josh Greenbaum and written by Josh Gad, Benji Samit, and Dan Hernandez. It is the sequel to Spaceballs (1987), and stars Josh Gad.

editIn June 2024, it was announced by Amazon MGM Studios, that a direct sequel to Spaceballs was in development, with Josh Greenbaum directing and Josh Gad, Benji Samit, and Dan Hernandez writing the screenplay, with Gad also cast in the lead role. Mel Brooks serves as a producer.[1][2]
