Unikue Records, previously Unikue Creatives, is a small, independently owned music production agency owned by SimplyAurie that manages artists such as Veri, StarShy and BlushingEmi. The label originated as being exclusively KCA, meaning they only created covers of popular K-pop songs, but ended up creating original songs under their first ever group, Elris due to Little Winters joining the team as their producer under the name Hachuu. Elris was a 5-member, mixed gender group made from a survival show hosted on the Unikue Records official discord server back in March of 2023 named Solar40, which was the agency’s second survival show. The group consisted of members Azure, Rima, Snowii, Yuri, and Veri, but later quietly disbanded due to a decline in success and loss of interest after releasing just two songs as a group; S.O.S and Pillow Talk, although Veri remained active and is now a soloist. On September 29th, 2023, Azure announced that both she and Snowii were leaving Elris and Unikue as a whole to focus on their personal lives and new members were added in their place but they were not able to debut.
In December of 2023, it was announced that two new groups were in the works by the names of INVICTUS, and StarShy which contained a soloist that had been recently signed to the agency named Seoul. In January of 2024, the CEO decided to rebrand from Unikue Creatives to Unikue Records as they were taking the agency more seriously and treating it like a professional label. Around that time, Little Winters announced that she would be putting her personal projects on hold in order to work on StarShy, which ended up being a 5 member girl group containing members Emi, May, Malveia, Mina and Seoul with a similar concept to K-pop groups such as NewJeans, Twice, Ive and Little Winters herself. On February 1st, their pre-debut single ‘Sigh’ was released, which was written and produced by Little Winters, and created anticipation for their official debut on April 3rd, 2024 with their 4 song EP titled ‘I Like You’. Not long after their official debut, Seoul announced she was quitting music for good and was leaving StarShy, causing her to be replaced by new member Yue, in order for the group to continue as 5.
While StarShy was in its early stages, Unikue Labels hosted a 3rd survival show titled 'The UNIverse’, with it’s winners being a part of an upcoming girl group named ‘Astella’, which will be a direct descendant of Elris as it reuses some of their unreleased songs and instrumentals that would’ve otherwise gone to waste. Auditions were also hosted for INVICTUS, the labels first ever boy group, but the official debut date for either of the groups has not been announced. Staff at Unikue Records say there will be a soloist in the future but that person is yet to be publicized.
