Uniflora is an American noise rock trio from Chicago, Illinois.

History edit

Bassist Theo Williams and drummer Ruby O'Brien met in their kindergarten year of primary school.[1] They did not reconnect until their freshman year of high school when they were in their first of two short-lived bands, "Final Say". After the breakup of their first band, the formation of their second, "Cinnamon Sticks", a Christmas surf rock band occurred, and lasted for one show at PTD Vintage guitar shop. [2]

With the creation of Cinnamon sticks, Williams introduced Quinn Dugan (guitarist/vocalist) to the band as a drummer. (Williams met Dugan at Whitney M. Young Magnet School, while O'Brien attended William Jones College Preparatory).

In March of 2023, Quinn Dugan, Theo Williams, and Ruby O'Brien stayed in contact, and formed Uniflora. The trio moved Dugan to vocals and guitar, with O'Brien on drums, where they remain today.[3]

In June of 2023, Uniflora self-released their debut EP Francium, recorded by John Dugan of Chisel.[4]

On November 16 2023, Uniflora self-released their new EP Plastic Sturgeon. The project was recorded by Erik Cameron from Charm Co-Op Studios, and mastered by Dan Coutant from Sun Room Mastering.[5]
