Truro City Council edit
Truro City Council is the most local level of Government in Truro, managed by 24 elected and unpaid councillors[1]. It is responsible for a range of services, including: parks, cemeteries. allotments, the community library, visitor information, public conveniences, community development and planning.
Centred upstairs at the Municipal Buildings in Boscawen Street, it covers Truro's public library, parks and gardens, tourist information centre, toilets, allotments and cemeteries[2]. It also views planning issues and was involved in creating the Truro and Kenwyn Neighbourhood Plan in association with Cornwall Council.[3][4] The city council has four wards – Boscawen and Redannick, Moresk and Trehaverne, Tregolls, and Malabar – with 24 councillors elected for four-year terms.[5][6] It is affiliated to Truro Chamber of Commerce and other civic bodies.[7][8]
