Titans Youth Hockey, also known as DC Titans or Titans, is a low-cost, recreational ice hockey program for boys and girls in Washington, DC.[1] The Titans are non-profit organization and a member club in the Capital Corridor Hockey League (CCHL). The CCHL is sanctioned by USA Hockey and is a member of the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA).[2]

Background

edit

Founded in 2010 as the Georgetown Titans, the club sought to revolutionize the accessibility of hockey, particularly for children in underserved communities. Over the past decade, the club experienced growth, prompting a name change to DC Titans to better reflect its expansive representation of the entire District of Columbia.[3]

Mission

edit

The mission of DC Titans is rooted in fostering "sportsmanship, character, and courage," with a commitment to inclusivity, affordability, and the provision of full-cost scholarships.[4] The Titans are the only club that represents the District of Columbia in the CCHL, fielding four teams across various age groups (minor ice hockey) with a roster ranging between 60 to 80 players a season.[5]
