Timo Flloko (born 26 April 1948) is an Albanian actor, producer, writer, poet and translator.[1]

Career edit

Timo Flloko was born on April 26, 1948 in Peja, Kosovo. In his acting career he is known for "Lulekuqet mbi mure" (1976), "Njeriu me top" (1977), "Angel's Dance" (1999) and "The Architect" (2012).[2][3]

Flloko took on the lead role of Agron Kurti in the first uncensored, post-communist Albanian film titled "Vdekja e Kalit" (The Death of the Horse), which premiered in 1992. Taking place amid the extensive purges of 1980s Albania, a military unit dedicated to breeding horses faces dissolution on suspicion of plotting against communist dictator Enver Hoxha. Agroni opposes the arbitrary order to disband the regiment and eliminate the horses. This leads to condemnation, and the ensuing trial triggers a series of tragic events.[3] Between 1991-2001 Flloko has appeared in Hollywood movies and international TV shows such as K-911, Seven Days and Silk Stalkings.

In 2023, Flloko was a guest performer in the inaugural edition of the annual musical competition in Kosovo "Festivali i Kenges" where he recited the poem "Hymni i Flamurit" written by Fan Noli.[4][5]
