Tim Probert is an American illustrator and author who is best known for his middle grade graphic novel series Lightfall. He has also illustrated other children’s books.

Career edit

Probert illustrated the Dungeon Academy books, which were written by Madeleine Roux, as well as the Rip and Red series by Phil Bildner and Pickle by Kim Baker.[1] He has also worked on other illustration and animation projects, including illustrating some of the backgrounds for the Amulet series.[2]

Probert’s most popular book, released in September 2020, is Lightfall: The Girl and the Galdurian, which he wrote and illustrated.[3] He also created its sequels, Lightfall: Shadow of the Bird (2022) and Lightfall: The Dark Times (2024).[4]

Probert is the director of the animation studio Aardman Nathan Love.[5] He lives in New York City with his wife.[6]
