The Pingry EP is the third extended play released by Tally Hall on May 13th, 2005 after a live performance at The Pingry School, the high school that Tally Hall's keyboardist Andrew Horowitz attended, in Martinsville, New Jersey. Tally Hall would distribute the EP physically to those who attended the show, with the band also distributing the EP at The Ark on June 1st 2005.[1] The Pingry EP consists of acoustic demos, live recordings, and one-take demoes recorded between 2002 and 2004. All of the tracks on the EP would be re-recorded on Tally Hall's first studio album Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, which was released later that year in October, with Yearbook, Cell Phone Call, and Just a Friend being omitted. Although, Just a Friend would eventually receive a studio recording in 2006 and be properly released as a part of Marvin's due to the Needlejuice Records reissue of the album in 2021.
