The Honeyman and the Hunter is a 2019 book by Scottish author Neil Grant.
The book is about Rudra, an Indian-Australian boy, who after discovering a tiger skull in his father's boat, has his life change significantly. When his grandmother dies, Rudra travels to India to place her ashes into her birthplace.
Reception
editKirkus Reviews noted that the book was reminiscent of Amitav Ghosh’s The Hungry Tide, stating that it was a "richly realized coming-of-age story about discovering one’s roots and the nuances of family relationships".[1]
