The Challenger is an upcoming television series, a biopic of astronaut Sally Ride, starring Kristen Stewart.

editThe series has been developed by Kyra Sedgwick's Big Swing Productions and is produced by Amblin Partners and Kirsten Stewart's production company Nevermind. It is based on Meredith Bagby’s 2022 book The New Guys: The Historic Class of Astronauts That Broke Barriers and Changed the Face of Space Travel.[1] Alongside Sedgwick and Stewart, Amblin’s Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey are also executive producers. Stewart also stars as physicist and astronaut Sally Ride.[2]
