The Brisbane Club is an exclusive private members club at 241 Adelaide Street, Brisbane City, City of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
History edit
The Club was established in 1903 following the a gathering of likeminded men shortly after the turn of the century. Adopting the British tradition of private clubs for influential members of the community, it provided a recreational venue for men of common interests and socio-economic backgrounds. Members were mainly pastoralists, politicians, and business and professional men.
The club prides itself on diversity, and has been open to membership by men and women for decades.
