Born in Metz, France in 2001, Herr joined FC Metz youth system as a child before signing a youth contract with Lille OSC. In 2019, aged 18, Herr signed his first senior professional contract with FC Saarbrücken in Germany. Herr never made a league appearance for Saarbrücken and transferred to Etzella Ettelbruck in Luxembourg. Herr helped Etzella avoid relegation from the Luxembourg National Division, scoring 6 goals in his 20 games. Herr injured his ankle in the 22/23 season and he only played 2 games. Etzella were relegated that season and Herr joined newly promoted side FC Schifflange 95 in 2023. Herr scored 4 goals in 19 league games for Schifflange and won the Player of the Month August Award before leaving the club. Téo Herr joined Championnat National 2 side US Thionville Lusitanos in July 2024.
