Tarun Chugh is an Indian politician currently serving as the National General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).[1][2]
Political Career
editChugh's career in politics began with the RSS.
1995: State General Secretary, BJP Youth Wing Punjab & National Executive Member of Yuva Morcha.
1997: State President, BJP Youth Wing Punjab & National Executive Member of Yuva Morcha.
2005: State Media & State Training Cell, BJP.
2007: State BJP Training Cell Organizer.
2009: Vice Chairman of Punjab Youth Development Board Department, Youth Services as Chief Parliamentary Secretary Rank.
2013: General Secretary, BJP Punjab, in charge of Doaba Zone (11 District Units) & In-charge BJP Youth Wing, Punjab.
2019: In-charge Andaman Nicobar & Co-In-Charge Delhi State BJP.[3][4]
2020: BJP Telangana state in-charge[5]
2022: Tarun Chugh gets second term as Telangana BJP in-charge [6]
2024: Appointed as election incharge for BJP in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh.[7][8]
Present: National General Secretary, BJP.[9][10][11][12][13]
In 1993, Chugh was chosen as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for the district of Amritsar. He works five years (1989-1994) as District Secretary and State Executive member of ABVP.
