Tarek Chaabane, born in 1991 in Tunis, is a Belgian-Tunisian artist, singer, songwriter, and author.

LIFE:

Tarek got early in his age in touch with art when visited the Russian cultural center in Tunis and began singing lyrical songs.

His first pop song he realized as a teenager under his artist name “Nahawand” and it was called “Symphony of humanity”, a song for freedom and peace, which was later used by the O.N.U. organization. Later Tarek changed his artist’s name from “Nahawand” into “Tareg” and released his second song in 2005 called “don´t laugh at him”. This song is used by the “Basma” organization, an organization for handicapped people.

Shortly after Tarek composed a song called “in her world”, a duet which he sang together with an autistic girl. The lyrics were mixed in English and Arabic language. It is the first time in the Arabic world that such a duet took place.

In the following years Tarek moved to Belgium for studies and also he wanted to escape the regime of Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali. He successfully graduated as an educator. During this time he took courses in the conservatoire a Liege in the lyric section baroque. Also, during his time in Belgium Tarek studied music therapy, bio song, harmony song and Gregorian song. In addition to that Tarek changed his artist name into Angelo and recorded one album as an Hommage to two big singers of all time, Dalida and Barbara. Two melancholic ladies which were very different. It is called "De Barbara a Dalida by Angelo".

His next project as Angelo was to record two songs in French language, one is called “Papillon de feu” and the other is called “Phoenix”.

In 2017 Tarek moved back to Tunisia and published his own book for communication in Arabic language. It is called "Les 7 portes de l´enfer".

In 2020 Tarek composed the song “Zendely dance”. As a result of “Zendely dance” release, he signed his first contract with a music production house in London.

Because of tragic circumstances in his family, he postponed working on music. After a period, he created very personnel and beautiful music like the song "conflict", a special music for cancer. Also, he released the songs "hope" and "sweet awakening".

Tarek took part in a voice therapy and after he travelled to Lebanon to record some beautiful music pieces. There he met a young composer named Sharbel Abood. He worked with him on two songs, one song called "Shendir" dedicated to Lybia and the other song called "Malich Amal" dedicated to the Egyptian people.

In 2023 Tarek Chaabane alias Angelo is secretly working on some new songs in a different style. It was announced that soon he will present some new music and collaborations.
