TJ Dumser is an American sound designer, audio engineer, and musician. He is known for his award-winning work in sound design and mixing for a variety of media, including broadcast, web, and film. He is also a member of the ambient music project Six Missing.

Early Life and Education

TJ attended and attained a degree from Full Sail University, an award-winning educational establishment for entertainment, media, arts and technology studies. He is a member of the Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE).

He has worked on a wide range of high-profile projects, collaborating with brands such as Nike, ESPN, and Budweiser. His expertise extends to original music composition, voice design, and surround sound mixing. Dumser's work has earned him numerous awards, including Clio, Webby, and Telly Awards.

  • Super Bowl Projects: Dumser provided sound design and mixing for multiple Super Bowl commercials, including "The Roast of Mr. Peanut" for Super Bowl 2023 and a Carvana commercial for Super Bowl 2022.
  • Clio Awards: He won a Clio Gold Award for his work on ESPN and State Farm's "The Last Dance" Deep Fake and a Bronze Award for Miley Cyrus' Bangerz x Vevo Tour Exposed.
  • Telly Awards: His sound design and mixing for the "Usher - 25 Years ‘My Way’ Mini-Doc" won a Gold Telly Award​. and Silver for Great Big Story “Soundwave” Series.

Six Missing

In addition to his work in sound design, Dumser is a member of Six Missing, an ambient music project. Six Missing is known for its atmospheric and cinematic soundscapes, often blending electronic and organic elements to create immersive auditory experiences. The project’s music has been featured on platforms like Bandcamp, with releases including “I Am The Way”, produced during the COVID-19 pandemic​

Six missing has recently signed a record deal with Canadian music label Network Music Group.
