Rtd Major Sulemana Abubari is the current chief of Tolon Traditional area in Nortehern Region of Ghana.[1] Tolon is one of the traditional communties in Dagbon and capital of Tolon District.[2][3]

Major Sulemana was born in 1943 at Tali, a community under Tolon traditional area to Alhassan Sulemana, who was a chief of Tali and subsequently bacame the chief of Tolon.[4] After his primary education, he was admitted into Kalpohini Middle School in Tamale. He also attended T.I. Ahmadiyya Secondary School and completed in 1961. He was recruited into Ghana Arm Forces in 1963.[5]
