StreamStep was a software company that developed real-time analytics software.[1] It was founded in 2007 and acquired by BMC Software on Oct 5, 2011.[2][3][4] StreamStep's software was discontinued by BMC Software in 2016. However, some of the technology that StreamStep developed is still used in BMC's other products.[5]

StreamStep was founded in 2007. In 2011, StreamStep was acquired by BMC Software.[citation needed]

After the acquisition, StreamStep continued to develop and sell StreamStep Analytics. However, in 2016, BMC Software announced that it would be discontinuing StreamStep Analytics. The company said that it was focusing on its other real-time analytics products.[7][8]

StreamStep Analytics was a real-time analytics platform that allowed businesses to monitor and analyze their data in real time. The platform was designed to be easy to use and scalable, and it could be deployed on-premises or in the cloud.[9]

In 2016, BMC Software announced that it would be discontinuing StreamStep Analytics. The company said that it was focusing on its other real-time analytics products.

BMC Software also said that it would continue to support StreamStep Analytics customers for a period of time. However, the company advised customers to migrate to its other real-time analytics products, such as BMC TrueSight Operations Management. Now this software in known as Compuware.[12]
