The Sterling Siren Fire Alarm Co is a defunct Civil Defense Siren manufacturer that went out of business in 1972. It is a historical company in the American Civil Defense Siren industry.[1]

Sterling Siren Fire Alarm Co was founded in 1902 by Frank W. Browning, B.F. Leavitt, H.C. Williamson.[2]Their new company would make sirens for emergency vehicles, emergency lighting and Civil Defense Sirens. They made Fire Sirens for cities in case of a forest fire. [citation needed] In the 20's, Sterling was a major manufacturer. They are known for great quality. Most Model M's are still standing today, even through about 100 years.[2]
Their successor, Sentry Siren, has carried on the durability with all of their sirens, lasting 40+ plus years according to Sentry Siren's Website.[3]
