Stela Dimitrova-Mastorova is a Bulgarian pianist, as well as a professor in the Bulgarian National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov".

Biography

She received her master's degree at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov", after which she specialized in Hungary and Belgium. She is actively present in the musical life of Bulgaria, gives concerts in Germany, Hungary, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Egypt, participates in festivals in Slovakia, Germany, Austria. She plays in various chamber formations together with renowned instrumentalists and singers.

Her repertoire includes all styles and eras. There are over 160 premieres with works by leading composers of the 20th century, such as Schoenberg, Bartok, Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Hindemith, Britten, Shchedrin, Schnittke, as well as Bulgarian artists like Konstantin Iliev, Lazar Nikolov, Simeon Pironkov, Ivan Spasov, Vasil Kazandzhiev, Yu Tsenova, Georgi Arnaudov. She is the winner of the Crystal Lira for 2006 and the Crystal Award for 2007.

Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova is a professor and head of the piano department at the National Academy of Music "Pancho Vladigerov". Her students have won more than 90 awards at international competitions in Europe, Asia and America. She is the founder and artistic director of the international festival for contemporary piano music ppIANISSIMO. She is a member of international juries in Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, where he also leads master classes. Her recordings are in the Golden Fund of the BNR, as well as in many European radio and television stations.
