Stanislav Stanchev (born 10 December 1986) is a Bulgarian piano player.

He has many accolades, including awards from local and international piano competitions. He has held many concerts in Germany, Bulgaria, France and Greece.

Biography edit

Stanislav Stanchev[1] was born on December 10, 1986 in Sofia. He started playing the piano at the age of 4 and his first teacher was Maria Petrova. After his initial lessons in music, he continued his studies at the National Music School "Lyubomir Pipkov"[2] in the class of Bogomila Nyagolova, and in the years in high school, he took lessons from Prof. Anton Dikov, who left a lasting mark on his formation as a musician. In the period 2005-2010, he was a student at the Pancho Vladigerov National Academy of Music[3] in the piano class of Prof. Stella Dimitrova-Maistorova and Prof. Iliya Chernaev.

He got his first successes on the music stage already in his school years, winning prizes from numerous piano competitions.[4]

He has taken part in a number of concerts and musical projects in the country and abroad and he has also many numerous recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio. In 2017, he was part of the trio "Pyrgos" (Germany). He actively performs as a soloist and his repertoire is extremely diverse, extending from compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, Domenico Scarlatti, Ludwig van Beethoven, Frederic Chopin, Franz Liszt, Sergei Rachmaninoff to the most contemporary music of the 20th and 21st centuries.[5]

Stanislav Stanchev starts to play the piano when he was 4 years old. His passion for the piano lead him to the National school of music Sofia “Lubomir Pipkov”[6] at a very early age. During his studies, he attended and won awards from numerous piano competitions in Bulgaria.

At the age of seven, he was accepted at the National school of music Sofia “Lubomir Pipkov”[7]

He graduated National School of Music in 2005 with distinction.

At the age of 19, he was accepted in The National Academy of Music “Prof. Pantcho Vladigerov”[8], which is the most authoritative higher education music school in Bulgaria.

In 2010, he received a master's degree in piano. Years later, he received a second master's degree for Music Education.

Career edit

Stanislav Stanchev has taken part in a number of concerts and musical projects in Bulgaria and abroad[9]. He has also made recordings for the Bulgarian National Radio.

In 2017, he was part of the trio "Pyrgos"[10][11] (Germany).

He also worked as a music teacher for more than 3 years in two different schools in Sofia, Bulgaria.

He is the first Bulgarian pianist, who received a YouTube Creator Award for 100 000 Subscribers Milestone[12].
