Sportsflare was an Esports betting technology company based in Wellington, New Zealand. In 2023, international betting, gaming and interactive entertainment company Entain acquired Sportsflare.[1]

History

The company was founded by Maksymilian Polaczuk and Christopher Herrmann in 2017.

In 2019, Sportsflare was selected to participate in the IMG Arena GreenHouse programme[2], which supports the development of sports betting technologies.

In 2020, Sportsflare was acquired by Tiidal Gaming Corp Canada and began operating as Tiidal Gaming NZ Limited.[3]

In 2021, Tiidal Gaming Corp listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange through RTO.[4]

In 2022, Tiidal Gaming Corp began rebranding as Sportsflare.[5]

In 2023, Tiidal Gaming Corp agreed to sell Sportsflare to Entain for CA$13.2m.[1]

In 2024, Sportsflare founders Maksymilian Polaczuk, Christopher Herrmann, and Trevor Cavill left Entain, along with other key personnel to found Idyllic.[6]
