Sleep Reset is a scientifically formulated, personalized sleep program designed to address insomnia symptoms through clinically proven methods. This innovative approach has demonstrated notable efficacy, showcasing an average increase of 85 minutes in total sleep time for individuals experiencing shorter sleep durations.[1] Additionally, Sleep Reset has been shown to significantly reduce the time required to fall asleep and the frequency of nightly awakenings by approximately half.[2]

Program edit

Sleep Reset is the first digital, personalized sleep clinic, conveniently accessible through a mobile app. The program tackles sleep issues and alleviates sleep anxiety by incorporating effective methodologies from top-tier sleep clinics, including strategies based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I).[3] It offers a solution for improved sleep without the need for pills or melatonin, ensuring users avoid grogginess, side effects, or dependency. The program was designed in partnership with leading experts from top sleep clinics and universities.[4]

It starts with an in-depth assessment to understand the unique situation of each individual. Based on the assessment, people are paired with an expert who will work with them to create a personalized action plan. It combines cognitive restructuring and behavior change techniques backed by science and designed by leading sleep experts. The strategies can vary widely from person to person but, on average, in the first 2 weeks the members fall asleep 30% faster and after 8 weeks, members sleep 85 mins longer and wake up about 50% les times per night.[2]

Sleep Reset has been covered on TechCrunch,[5] Forbes,[6] and INSIDER[7] and reviewed by Verywell Mind and Sleepopolis.

Research edit

In June 2023, a study published in Frontiers, led by The University of Arizona's Sleep and Health Research Program, found that Sleep Reset members reduced their sleep latency by 53%, decreased their wake after onset by an average of 46%, and increased their total sleep time by an average of 85 minutes, all of these over the course of the program.[2] The researchers collected data from 564 Sleep Reset users (65.2% female, 34.4% male, and 0.4% intersex), and they aimed to evaluate whether completers of this sleep program showed improvements in their sleep problems.[2]

Company edit

Founded in 2017 by Yunha Kim, Sleep Reset originated as a response to a personal struggle with sleep and a broader realization about the challenges of accessing sleep care. The company was formerly known as Simple Habit, but it rebranded after selling Simple Habit, the meditation app.[8] Not only had Yunha always struggled with sleep, but she also experienced a six-month wait list at a sleep clinic.[9] This firsthand experience with a long waitlist at a sleep clinic underscored the difficulties in obtaining timely sleep care, serving as a catalyst for the creation of Sleep Reset. Over the past few years, Yunha Kim and her team have actively developed Sleep Reset, positioning it as the world's first digital, personalized sleep clinic.

The program is currently available for iOS and android, and has been ranked as one of the best sleep digital solutions by Sleep Foundation.[10]
