Personal Life

Sitka Gulergun married his wife, Helaine, in 1987 in Boston. The couple met while working together at a design studio in New York City's garment district, where they both pursued their passion for textiles and design. Together, they have three children. Sitka lived in New York from 1980 until 2017, during which time he deeply immersed himself in the city's vibrant art and fashion scenes. In 2017, Sitka and Helaine moved to Boston, where they opened the Sitka Home Art Gallery, a space that showcases his eclectic and colorful works.

Outside of his artistic endeavors, Sitka is an avid sports fan. Having grown up playing soccer, he developed a love for sports early on, and since moving to the United States, he has embraced all major American sports. This love for sports complements his dynamic and energetic approach to life and art, further enriching the creative environment he shares with his family.
