Shy Murphy was a band created by Ryan Booth, and Bryce Carter. They formed in College Station writing songs in their senior year around May, 2004 at Texas A&M University[1].

The band recorded one EP titled Honesty, in Nashville, TN. Around the time of recording Patrick Hunton joined on bass. shortly after the release of the EP Bryce left to focus on his career.[2] They only played one concert in Bryan, TX with a few hundred attendees. Their CD is still for sale on sites such as Ebay or Amazon. Ryan Booth went on to become a director, cinematographer, and producer in New York City, directing films such as the music video for Billie Eilish's song "Bitches Broken Hearts"[3].
