Personal Information
editShunsuke Mizutani was born in 1985 in Nara Prefecture, Japan. His musical journey began early, as he started playing the piano during his formative years. It was during his time at Kashihara High School in Nara Prefecture that he delved into music composition. Mizutani's academic pursuits led him to the Faculty of Informatics at Kansai University, where he also ventured into the realm of filmmaking. He furthered his education by completing a master's degree at Kansai University's Graduate School.
In August 2007, Mizutani embarked on a transformative journey to Bangladesh, where he initiates profound inspiration. From August 2009 to September 2010, under the mentorship of Hiroki Watanabe, a distinguished humanitarian aid worker, Mizutani engaged in a period of intensive study at "Ekmattra[2]". During this time, he contributed significantly to the editing of "The Whirlpool" and provided artistic guidance through teaching art classes at a shelter home. His efforts culminated in the students' remarkable achievement of winning the Grand Prize at the Street Children's Art Festival.
During his tenure at Kansai University's graduate school, Mizutani focused his research endeavors on educational technology and cultural mediator function as a coordinator. Following the completion of his graduate studies, Mizutani embarked on a career as a freelance creator. In May 2014, driven by a vision to foster local talent and contribute to the animation industry, he established Studio Padma, an animation production company based in Dhaka.
In November 2016, Mizutani joined forces with actress Mae Watanabe (formerly known as Mae Otsuka) to form BAJNA BEAT[3], showcasing their musical talents as a pianist, vocalist, and composer. Their collaborative efforts bore fruit with the release of their debut album, "LIFE," on September 18, 2021, under T's MUSIC label.
