Majalgaon City situated on the banks of river Sindfana in the Beed district of Maharashtra, Ganesha Bappa Arrives everywhere on Ganesha Chaturthi in Maharashtra... But Tembe Ganapti in Majalgaon arrived on Bhadrapada Ekadashi in the Nizam Period. Of course, there is a reason for this too...!
Then in the Pre-independence period i.e. in 1901 during the Nizam rule. the permission of rajkars was required to celebrate Ganeshotsav. On Ganesh Chaturthi, the members of the board took out a procession for the installation of tembe ganpati without obtaining permission from the pilgrims. This time the procession was stopped at the masjid chawk and they were asked for permission from the Nizam government for the installation of Ganpati Bappa. went here and from there brought permission to install Ganpati on the Copper Palte...! But it took four days to go to and from Bhagynagar (Hyderabad)... Because of this, this Ganpati was established on Bhadrapada Ekadashi and it started being immersed in pratipada... So Sometimes this Ganpati is installed for five and sometimes Six days...!
Now you must be wondering how the name "Shree Tembe Ganesha" came about..?
Since a woman does not bear children, she will take a vow to Ganpati and if my clan gets a lamp, they will place Temba in front of Ganpati..! She Took such a vow and got a child within a year. She offered Temba to Ganpati to fulfill her vow. The news of the fulfillment of that woman's vow went viral. Since then Ganpati has become famous for getting progeny and since then Ganpati who takes vows is called Tembe Ganpati". This unique and auspicious Tembe Ganesha of Maharashtra continues the concept of "Eco Friendly " which has been running for 123 years... This Ganesha Mandal has a 7 to 8-foot idol mode of cow dung, soil...
