Draft:ShineWing International

ShineWing International is an international professional services network headquartered in China, providing audit, tax, and management consulting services. The company was founded by Zhang Ke in 1999 and has since grown to become one of China's leading professional service firms while also expanding its operations to other countries and regions.

History edit

ShineWing's history dates back to 1999 when Zhang Ke declined a position as the CEO of PwC China to establish his own firm. According to an article in INTHEBLACK magazine, ShineWing reported revenues of CNY 1.175 billion (approximately USD 190 million) in 2013, with nearly 4,500 employees and 200 partners. The firm ranked ninth in China's professional services market and was the only Chinese accounting firm that had not merged with or established a partnership with a first-tier or second-tier international firm.

International Expansion edit

ShineWing's international expansion beyond Asia began with small-scale investments in Singapore and Japan. In 2005, the firm established a branch in Hong Kong, quickly becoming the sixth largest professional services firm in terms of local revenue. Zhang Ke stated in an interview that the company planned to open branches in the Middle East within the year and to establish offices in Europe by 2016. Additionally, ShineWing merged with Moore Stephens Melbourne in Australia to form ShineWing Australia.

Independence edit

ShineWing has maintained a strategy of independent operation. Despite receiving partnership proposals from several firms, the company's founder, Zhang Ke, has sought to build his own international network. His vision is to create China's first great multinational professional services company.

Educational and Cultural Background edit

Zhang Ke's background is not typical of the accounting profession. He graduated from university at the age of 29, which was due to the closure of China's higher education system during the Cultural Revolution. His personal experience and professional background reflect the unique circumstances of that era in China.
