Shaykh Ibrahim Osi-Efa is a British Muslim scholar and teacher who has studied and taught various Islamic sciences in different countries. He was born and raised in Liverpool, England. He is one of the founders of several Islamic initiatives, such as the Ibn Abbas Institute, Starlatch Press, Badr Language Institute and Greensville Trust. He is also a regular teacher at the Micro Madrasa initiative in both Liverpool and Huddersfield.[1][2]
Shaykh Ibrahim Osi-Efa has having studied under some of the most eminent and respected scholars of this time. He spent three years in Syria and Mauritania, where he learned from the likes of Murābiṭ al-Ḥājj, al-Habib Umar bin Hafiz and Shaykh Hassān al-Hindi. He then moved to the city of Tarim, Hadramaut, where he spent over six years studying with al-Habib Kazim al-Saqqaf, al-Habib ‘Ali al-Jifri and al-Shaykh ‘Umar Husain al-Khatib. He has also received ijazas (authorizations) from many other scholars in various fields of Islamic knowledge.[3]
