Coming from a musically rich family, Shailendra began his formal training at the age of eight with his father and the renowned Guru Pandit Anand Kumar C. His musical journey continued with the guidance of the late Tabla and Vocal Maestro, Pt. Bansilalji, and further evolved under the tutelage of Pt. Murli Manohar Shuklaji, a prominent figure in the Kunwar Gosai Shyam Gharana.
While Shailendra is widely recognized for his expertise in devotional music, he is also celebrated as a Ghazal artist, Bollywood performer, and playback singer across various Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, Bhojpuri, Rajasthani, and Oriya. He boasts a collection of over 700 albums and has produced notable audio CDs and e-books, such as the Shirdi Sai Baba Satcharitra Grant in multiple languages.
Shailendra’s performances have taken him across India[1] and around the globe, including countries like the US, UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Dubai. He has also had the honor of performing for the President of India and participating in charitable events. His collaborations include working with legendary artists such as the late Pt. Jasrajji, Bharat Ratna Pt. Bhimsen Joshiji, Bharat Ratna Late Lata Mangeshkar, and Padmabhushan Asha Bhosle, among others.
Shailendra's versatile voice allows him to seamlessly transition from classical to contemporary genres.
