This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Shai Heredia is an Indian filmmaker and curator.[1]
In 2003 she founded Experimenta, an Experimental Cinema and Moving Image Art festival.[2] Previously held in Mumbai, the festival is most recently hosted yearly in Bangalore. It features guest curators on well-known practitioners of non-conventional explorations of form, image and sound.[3]
From 2006 to 2011 she worked as programmer executive at the India Foundation for the Arts, where she set up the curatorship and arts practice grant programmes.[4]
Her short film "An Old Dog's Diary" (co-directed with Shumona Goel) won the Best Short Film award at the BFI London Film Festival in 2015,[5] and the Special Jury Award at the 60th National Film Awards.[6]
In 2024 she published One Film at a Time, an anthology of essays and interviews exploring different processes and skills involved in practices of archiving, curating and restoring film. The book traces the histories of filmmaking in India since the 1960s.[7][8]
She is a faculty member of the Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology, where she teaches experimental and documentary film.[9]
