Sedlescombe Rangers Football Club are a football club based in Sedlescombe, near Hastings. The club was founded in 1982 and has a mixture of youth and adult football teams. They are affiliated to Sussex County FA and play their home games at Oaklands Park, Sedlescombe. The mens first team compete in the Mid Sussex Football League Premier Division, a step 7 status feeder league. The club also has teams that compete in the East Sussex Football League, Crowborogh and District Youth Football League, The Hastings FA, Rother District Youth Football League, Sussex County Womens and Girls Football League, and Mid Sussex Youth Football League.

Sedlescombe Rangers Football Club was formed in 1982 by David Mitchell and Len Richardson. The club was an instant success and continued to grow as a youth football club in the local and wider area, expanding to have teams in several age groups. In the early 2000's, the football club merged with the local mens football club, Sedlescombe F.C, and continued under the name of Sedlescombe Rangers Football Club but now with a combined youth and adult cohort of teams.[1]

At present the club boasts over 20 teams across all age groups from Under 7s through to its adult mens team and including a veterans team.

The club also has 2 dedicated all girls teams and an Football Association Wildcats Centre, which is for girls on between the ages of 5-11 years old.

Ground edit

The club plays its home games at Oaklands Park, Sedlescombe, TN330UF. The sportsfield holds 2 full size 11 v 11 pitches, and smaller format 7v7 and 5v5 pitches. Pitches are also used locally at Staplecross Recreation Ground and Bulverhythe (Bexhill Road).
