Originally known as Pearson K12 Learning until rebranding in May 2020.[1][2] Savvas has provided online digital curriculums for students. Savvas current CEO is Bethlam Forsa, she has worked at the company since February 2019.[3][4]

Origins (1896-1990) edit
Savvas Learning Company's origins can trace back to 1896 when Albert and Scott renamed to Scott, Foresman and Company. Prentice Hall was founded in 1913 and later opened the first Educational Book Division.[1]
Pearson Education Era (1998-2018) edit
Pearson Education was formed in 1998 and was used to merge all of Pearson's educational imprints. The enVision series was released in 2007 and has been claimed to be used more than any other math program. In 2013 Pearson Realize was created and combined K12 Learning assessments into one location. myPerspectives was launched in 2017 and was designed for use in Language arts classrooms. The following year, Project Imagine was a critically acclaimed digital Social Studies program.[5]
Buyout by Nexus Capital and Rebranding to Savvas (2019-present) edit
In 2018, Pearson K12 Learning's parent company announced that it would sell its K12 business.[6] By 2019, the sale was near-complete with Nexus Capital buying Pearson K12 for $250 million.[7] In March of that year, Pearson K12 Learning became a standalone company[5]. In May 2020, Pearson K12 Learning rebranded as Savvas Learning Company.[5] Savvas launched Savvas literacy & math in 2021 for a new screener and diagnostic assessments. In 2022, Savvas acquired Rubicon. The following year, Savvas acquired Whooo's Reading.
