History
editSan Nicolas English is said to have developed from varieties of Caribbean English and English Creoles spoken by Afro-Arubans descended from Trinidadians, Grenadians and immigrants from other English-speaking Caribbean nations who settled San Nicolas throughout the 20th century, namely to work in jobs related to the Aruban oil industry located near the town.
