Samuel Carlos Kosi M'Pemba (born c. 2005) is an American football outside linebacker for Georgia.
Early years and high school
editM'Pemba was born in Olivette, Missouri, the son of Martial and Mimi M'Pemba.[1][2] He began his high school career at Ladue Horton Watkins High School in St. Louis, and then transferred as a junior in 2021 to the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.[2] He was rated by Rivals.com as the No. 10 player overall, and the No. 2 defensive end, in the 2023 college football recruiting class.[3] He received scholarship offers from numerous universities, including Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M, and USC.[2]
College football
editIn December 2022, M'Pemba committed to Georgia.[4] During the summer 2023, M'Pemba was cited by the Oconee County Sheriff's Office for driving 88 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.[5]
During the 2023 season, he played in 10 games at reserve outside linebacker, finishing the season with tallying six tackles.
