Samuel Erkisi (born August 24 1989), known by his stage name Sammy Violin/ Sammy V, is a Canadian, international electric violinist and recording artist. Often referred to as “Master of the Violin,” SAMMY V is a fourth generation celebrity violinist. His shows have the essence of both oriental and western sounds. He’s got influenced by many virtuosos from all around the world. He continues to enchant audiences with breathtaking virtuosity, tone and charismatic stage presence. With restless curiosity, passion, universal appeal, and multi-faceted musical interests he has earned the rare title of “Modern Fiddler.”
Early life edit
At age four, he received his first violin from his parents, both Violin and Vocal professionals. By age 12, he was serious about the instrument thanks in large part to the inspiration of his father, his beloved teacher and mentor. Two years later, Sammy Violin came to national attention and started to have concerts and musical shows at national and international platforms.
Sammy Violin took his first steps in music life by taking harmony and music theory lessons and embarked on a musical journey with various cultures of the South Eastern Europe, where his maternal and paternal roots come from, and North America and got accepted to the University of Bilkent, Major of Music and Performing Arts in 2006 and graduated in 2011. Sammy Violin also received a Post Graduate degree from “Humber Music School” in Toronto Canada in 2014.

He has been on prestigious stages with "Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Scarborough Philharmonic Orchestra. Sammy Violin became popular in the music industry between the years of 2018-2020 with his violin covers of Latin, Hip-Hop and pop genres in his own style. He succeeded attracting international attention with his covers and started South American tour. Also, on October 19, 2022, he performed the season opening show before the game between Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors which represents the city of Toronto in the American National Basketball League NBA.
Having started to appear on international stages in Miami, New York, Los Angeles, United States (USA), Cartagena-Colombia, Hannover-Germany, Dublin-Ireland, Greece and Italy, Sammy Violin also carries out independent works from other musicians. He released the Flamenco/Latin fusion song "Corazon Español" in 2022 with the production of ATD Music / Net D and also shot a video clip in Miami.
