Sadik Halil Haxhijaj was born on 25.10.1926 (18.03.2002) in Rakosh, Istog.
A native of Rakosh, Istog, Sadiku was a dedicated member of the LDB and a valiant soldier of the Shaban Polluzhe Brigade, earning numerous decorations, including one for bravery. Known for his organizational skills and proactive approach, Sadiku played a pivotal role in Rakosh, where Serbian forces hesitated to carry out deportations that were rampant in many other parts of Kosovo. He held the position of Pleqnar and was involved in various aspects of village life, witnessing and contributing to numerous events, from bloodsheds and conflicts to reconciliations and injuries.
Additionally, Sadiku served as POROT in the Municipal Court in Istog, regularly invited despite being dismissed from his position. Even in his retirement, he continued to work at Rakoshi School, having been instrumental in its establishment in Rakosh. Originally intended for another village, the school owes its existence in Rakosh to Sadik's initiative.
During his time, Sadiku, with courage and eloquence befitting a leader, guided conversations with rulers and delivered patriotic speeches. In times of need, Sadiku sought support from the Salihaj family, finding solace and hope in the words of encouragement from Sadiku and the family of Halil Nimon, Sadiku's father. His significant role as the municipality secretary during the period when Rakoshi was still a municipality reflects his dedication to the community.
