Samuel Oguachuba (born 5 February 1985), professionally known as Samklef (Samklef NoNi) stylized in all capital letters, is a Nigerian record producer, blogger, disk jockey, music director, mixing engineer , and songwriter.[1][2][3] He is popularly known for the tag "samklef NoNi", at the beginning or end of all his productions.[4][5]

Samklef gained recognition in the Nigerian recording industry by producing. Wizkid's first album Superstar, one track of Banky w's R&BW album, and Olamide's YBNL album.[6][7]

Early Life and Career

Samklef was born in Ikeja, Lagos, in the southwestern region of Nigeria. He is originally from Imo State, Nigeria [8]. Samklef has produced several well-known singles, including "Don't Dull” by Wizkid, and “Stupid Love" by Olamide.[9][10][11]

He was responsible for producing a significant portion of Wizkid’s 2011 "Superstar" album and has worked with artists such as Ice Prince, Olamide, Banky W., Akon, Simi, M.I , and Waje, among others.[12][13][14] Samklef signed to Akon's Konvict Muzik label In 2018,[15][16][17][18] he was nominated for Producer of the Year at the 2011 Headies Award.[19][20]

Controversies

On 23rd April 2022, Samklef accused "Banky W" of stealing royalties for Wizkid’s album which he produced. via his Twitter page, He tweeted.[21][22] Samklef also became involved in disputes on Twitter and Instagram with various artists and bloggers, including Wizkid, Davido[23][24] Adekunle Gold, Simi [25][26], Tunde Ednut, Seun Kuti and Very Dark Man.[27][28][29]
