Rohit Jangid is an Indian Wushu athlete who has won medals in several international sporting events. He is a constable in the Rajasthan Police[1][2][3][4].
Early Life and Career
editBorn on 5 August 1993 in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Rohit Jangid hails from a middle-class family. His father, Rajesh Jangid, is a furniture maker. His younger brother, Rahul Jangid, is also a national medalist in Wushu. Rohit started training in Wushu at the age of 16 under the guidance of coach Rajesh Taylor.[5]
Achievements
edit- 2014: Bronze medal in the 12th Hong Kong International Wushu Championship.
- 2016: Bronze medal in the 9th World International Championship, Georgia[6].
- 2018: Gold medal in the World Championships (WKC), Dublin, Ireland.
- 2021: Silver medal in the South Asian Wushu Championship, Nepal.
